What divides a typical supermodel from the “Plus-size” model?
A Plus size model must be at least 5’8” and a dress size of 12 and up. These gorgeous ladies also must have shapely legs and a proportionate figure with a very classic face structure that appeals to the masses. In contrast, supermodel figures must fit the stereotypical 5’8” thin structure without ever going above 130 pounds.
With the conflicting images of thin vs. curvy…where do we place ourselves? The average American woman wears a size 14 dress, yet the fashion, style and beauty magazines feature a majority of the ultra-thin body structure. It is up to the American woman to rebel against these stereotypical figures and request realistic proportions! With this in mind, would you like to see Adore Me representing our curvy ladies with a lovely plus-size model for the products that have a wider size range?

“When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are…”
First ladies and Princesses…we often imagine their lives filled with beautiful clothing, beautiful friends and possibly even magic carriage rides that transport them to enchanted balls. However, their lives aren’t always the fairytale story we imagine. We all know the fatal end that Princess Diana and Princess Grace Kelly both experienced, and the constant spotlight on the other powerful women cannot be a simple chore to endure. Yet, despite the trials they endure, they impart a sense of hope, beauty and respect that unite the women of the world as we admire their decisions in fashion, family and social settings. These women will live through the decades as immortal symbols of the strength we possess to withstand the trials of womanhood and still appear fabulous on a day-to-day basis.

Taylor Swift, Heidi Klum and Selena Gomez illustrate the 1920s edge evident in current fashion trends during the 2011 American Music Awards. Just in time for the movie remake of The Great Gatsby, the 1920s once again take over the fashion trends forecasted for spring 2012. From flapper dresses to “page boy” hair styles and everything in between, the 1920s signifies an age of artistic expression in literature, fashion, music and more. As we embrace the “Roaring Twenties” mindset once again, will it end with a swift economic downturn similar the former Great Depression or will we be able to turn around our country’s current economic state? One thing is for sure, brilliant fashion trends such as these will continue to prosper and hopefully extend into the lingerie industry as well!
